Chicken Curry

'A basic and simple chicken preparation'
Servings: 2 Persons

Ingredients:
250 gram chicken (with bone/boneless)
1 medium onion,chopped
2 medium tomatoes
1/2" ginger 
 3-4 medium garlic cloves
2 black cardamom
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 - 2 tspn red chilly powder
1/2 tspn turmeric powder
1 tspn kasuri methi
3 tbspn ghee
salt to taste

Method:
1. Boil tomatoes and make thick fine puree.
2. Grind onion,garlic cloves and ginger to make a fine paste.
3. Heat ghee in a cookware. Add black cardamom and bay leaf. When you smell a nice aroma, add ground onion-ginger-garlic paste.
4. Stir for 5-6 minutes or till it cook completely. Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,salt and tomato puree.
5. Stir till ghee starts oozing out. Add chicken pieces and mix well.
6. Cover cookware with a lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or till chicken cook completely. You can add some water if you think curry is too thick.
7. Sprinkle karuri methi and mix well. Cover cookware for sometime and then serve with roti or rice.
