Read this recipe in Marathi
Servings: 2 to 3 Persons
Ingredients:
4 hand full of thick pohe
1 Cup finely chopped onion
¼ Cup green peas
2 green chilies
¼ tspn turmeric powder
½ tspn mustard seeds
¼ tspn asafetida
5-6 curry leaves
1 tbsp fresh grated coconut
2 tspn lemon juice
1 tbspn coriander leaves chopped
1 ¼ tspn sugar
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Wash and rinse pohe with water. Drain all the water and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes.
2. Add salt, turmeric powder and sugar to washed pohe. Mix everything with your hands until evenly coated.
3. In kadhai heat oil. Add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add chopped green chilies, curry leaves and then add asafoetida.
4. Add chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add green peas. Cover the kadhai and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add soaked pohe and stir well. Cover the Kadhai and let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
6. Mix lemon juice. Add sugar, salt if needed. Garnish with coriander leaves and fresh grated coconut. Serve hot.
Tip: Sometimes after washing raw pohe, Pohe doesn’t soak water properly,that time sprinkle little water on them.
