Servings: 2 to 3 Persons
Ingredients:
1 unripe mango( raw mango)
1/2 cup grated jaggery
salt as per taste
For tempering-
1 1/2 tbspn oil
2 dry chilies
1/4 tspn fenugreek seeds
1/4 tspn mustard seeds
1/4 tspn cumin seeds
1/4 tspn asafoetida
Method:
1. Cook unripe mango in a pressure cooker in 2 whistles. Remove the skin and inner seed. Keep the pulp.
2. Squeeze skin in the water so that you will get all the pulp. Blend the pulp and that water to make a fine puree.
3. Add water to the puree if it is too thick.
4. Add salt and grated jaggery. Boil the soup untill jaggery melts completely.
5. Heat oil in a small saucepan and add mustard seeds. Let it crackle. Add fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds. Add dry chilies broken into 2 pieces. Add asafoetida and give tadka to the soup. Immediately cover the soup with a lid. Serve after 5-7 minutes.
