Servings: 2 Persons
4 bread slices
2 eggs
2 tbspn finely chopped onion
1 tbspn cheese
¼ tspn turmeric powder
1 tspn Vinegar
1 green chilly finely chopped
1 pinch black pepper
1 tbspn butter
Method:
1. Whisk the eggs with all the spices, herbs and cheese.
2. Season to taste. Heat a skillet with butter. Dredge a bread slice in batter or spread batter on one side of slice with spoon and shallow fry one side then again spread batter on other side .Shallow fry both the sides on moderate heat till golden brown. Put some more butter if needed.
3. Serve Hot with tomato ketchup.
Tip: For people, who are allergic to eggs, make a batter of chickpea flour (besan) and spices. Use cumin-coriander powder instead of cheese.
