Mutter Paneer

Servings : 2 Persons 

½ cup steamed green peas
50 gram paneer
1 ½ cup finely chopped onion
2 tomatoes chopped
4-5 cashew nuts
1 ½ tspn red chilly powder
¼ tspn turmeric powder
¼ tspn garam masala
¼ tspn corinder seeds powder
¼ tspn cumin seeds powder
1 tspn ginger-garlic paste
3 tbspn oil
Salt to taste 

1. Cut paneer into small cubes and shallow fry them till golden brown in colour.
So that it won’t break after putting them in the gravy. Don’t deep fry paneer cubes it will reduces percentage of protein in the paneer.
2. Heat oil in a saucepan and fry some cashewnuts. Keep them aside. Add ginger-garlic paste in d same oil and stir for few seconds. Then add onion. Stir till it turns golden brawn. Add tomato, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and stir till oil coming out from the mixture. Grind the whole mixture and fried cashew nuts together in to fine paste.
3. Heat oil in saucepan. Add the paste of onion and other spices. Stir for a minute. Add coriander-cumin seeds powder and garam masala. Add steamed green pease and ½ cup of water. Mix well and bring it to boil.
4. Add fried paneer. Mix carefully. Cover saucepan with a lid and let it cook for a minute. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti or naan.
