Ingredients:
½ kg King Fish (surmai) or Tilapia
¼ tspn carom seeds
1 tspn red chilly powder
½ tspn turmeric powder
2 tbspn lemon juice
3 tbspn rice flour
1 tspn ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
4 tbspn oil for shallow frying
Method:
1. Take small pieces of fish approximately 2”x2” in size.
2. Marinate fish with all the spices. Keep marinated for 1 hour.
3. Dust fish pieces with rice flour. Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan.
And shallow fry from both the sides.
4. Add some more oil if needed. Shallow fry till golden brown. Soak extra oil with paper towel and serve with mint chutney.

Tip: Indian seafood lovers generally miss Indian fish in America. For them, American tilapia and catfish can be good substitute for this dish.
