Servings: 2 Persons
Ingredients:
1/2 cup red kidney beans ( 1 1/4 cups soaked rajma )
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tbspn ginger-garlic paste
1 1/2 tomato,chopped
2 1/4 tspn coriander seeds powder
1 tspn cumin powder
1 tspn cumin
1 1/2 tspn red chilly powder
1/2 tspn turmeric powder
salt to taste
2 tbspn oil
Method:
1. Soak red kidney beans overnight(7-8 hours) in warm water. Pressure cook soaked beans with 1 1/4 cup water and 1/2 tspn salt till tender. Make only 1 or 2 whistles otherwise it will get over cooked.
2. Heat oil in a wok and add cumin seeds. Add ginger garlic paste. stir till aromatic. Add chopped onion. Stir onion till it becomes translucent. Add coriander seeds powder and cumin seeds powder. Add red chilly powder,turmeric powder, chopped tomato and salt. Stir mixture till it starts oozing oil.
3. Add cooked beans and excess water. Mix well and boil curry for 10 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or chapati.
