onion pakode and coconut milk
Ingredients:
For balls-
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tbspn red chilly powder
1/4 tspn turmeric powder
chickpea floor as required ( approx 4 tbspn)
salt to taste
For curry-
1 tbspn red chilly powder
1/4 tspn turmeric powder
chickpea floor as required ( approx 4 tbspn)
salt to taste

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 1/2 tspn chickpea floor
1/2 tspn goda masala
1 tspn red chilly powder
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 1/2 tspn chickpea floor
1/2 tspn goda masala
1 tspn red chilly powder
1/4 turmeric powder
2 tspn jaggery
1-2 tspn tamarind pulp
salt to taste
Method:
1. For making balls- Take chopped onion in a bowl. Add all the spices and chickpea floor. Add little water and combine well. Mixture should be sticky so that you can make balls.
2. Heat oil in a wok. Add chopped onion and stir till it becomes golden brown.Add turmeric powder,goda masala,red chilly powder and stir well.
3. Add coconut milk,water and tamarind pulp. Mix well and bring it to boil. Add chickpea floor. Avoid lumps of floor and boil curry for 2-3 minutes till it becomes thick.
4. Drop 1 tbspn size balls in the curry. Keep distance in each ball while dropping them. Boil curry for 2-3 minutes. Cover wok with a lid and let it cook for 10 minutes.
5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice.
