Ingredients:
1/2 cup red gram split (toor dal)
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 tspn turmeric powder

1/4" ginger, grated

1/4 tspn mustard seeds
1/4 tspn asafoetida
5-6 curry leaves
1 dry chilly
salt to taste
2 tbspn oil
Method:

Method:
1. Pressure cook toor dal with 1 green chilly and 1 tspn crushed ginger pieces.
2. Mash dal. Add salt ,grated ginger and bring it to boil.
3. Heat oil in a small saucepan. Add mustard seeds. Let it crackle. Add dry chilly broken into 2 pieces. Add curry leaves, asafoetida and give tadka to the dal.
