Read this recipe in Marathi
Servings : 3 to 4 persons
Ingredients:
2 tbspn toor dal
2 tbspn urad dal with skin
2 tbspn fresh grated coconut
1/2" ginger
1 green chilly
1 tbspn lemon juice
4-5 curry leaves
1/4 tspn mustard seeds
1/4 tspn asafoetida
salt to taste
1 tbspn oil
Method:
1. Wash toor dal and urad dal and pressure cook together till tender.
2. Mash cooked dal. Add turmeric powder,lemon juice,fresh grated coconut and salt and mix well.
3. Grind green chilly and ginger to make paste. Add it to the cooed dal. Mix well. Add water to make it thin.
4. Boil dal for 5 minutes. Heat oil in a small saucepan. Add mustard seeds. Let it crackle. Add curry leaves and asafoetida. Give tadka to the dal.
5. Serve dal with rice.
